Length: 1640 words
Rating: Mature
Content notes: Author chooses not to warn
Summary: The stories told by the museum owner's daughter are not quite the same as the stories told by the poet.
AO3
Notes
Waxworks is an early silent film available in full at Youtube. A man applies for a job at a waxworks museum by writing the stories of three of the wax figures: Haroun al-Raschid, Ivan the Terrible, and Spring-Heeled Jack. The writer himself appears in a romantic role in each story he writes, as does the pretty daughter of the museum owner.
