Vidding Love Meme

I am in a terrible mood, so I would like to make it better by seeing people say nice things about vids. Let's do a vidding love meme.

Instructions/Rules

  1. Comment with your username, a link to your vids, and the fandoms you vid for (or a selection you've vidded the most for, if you're all over the place).
  2. People will comment telling you what their favorite vid by you is, what show/character/pairing they think you vid best, and other positive comments. They can also mention what they think you should vid more of, or anything else concerning what they like about your vidding. If you don't want anything like suggestions for what you should vid more, just mention it in your original comment.
  3. Post it to your journal!
  4. This is a love meme. No wank, no insults, no concrit. Just the love!

I really admire the range of vids that you've made - you're so good at so many different moods and genres! From the hilarity of your Sharknado vid to the heartclutching Tamacun to really insightful things like Unsteady Ground and Only. What We Had is still one of my definitive DW vids, it captures all of my feelings about those three characters in that period of the show.

I absolutely adore how many feelings you pack into every one of your vids. It always sucks me into the world and gives me all the feels! I have watched Give Me Everything more times than I can count, it's just perfect. <3

I love your vids! I'm delighted by how prolific you are, it means there's many awesome things for me to watch. A few favourites include Singing Hallelujah, Bloom in Adversity and Each Feather and Every Spangle. Infinity and Beyond is just the greatest. <3

I love all your feels and I love when you put them in vids! All the Aims Project vids you made are completely beautiful. But most of all I adore Long Live, which is RUDE and contains all the feelings in my whole heart and it's the best. <3333

I was so overwhelmed and happy to receive King and Lionheart for festivids, it's absolutely stunning and I watch it all the time. Your Fury Road vid is an unbridled delight and is a genius song choice, I love it so much. :D

All of your behind the scenes work for Vidukon and Festivids made you a vidding fandom champion - I know how hard you work and it makes such a difference to both projects. <3333

ALSO YOUR VIDS ARE AMAZEBALLS. All your SCC vids are amazing, I love Come On, Home wrecks me in the best way, Take Me To Church is kind of mindblowingly good, and I have loved Non Lievi Alchun ever since you made it.

You are so amazingly talented. My all time favourite of yours is I Wish I Was James Bond, it's simultaneously so fun and silly and also a really insightful character study of Julian, I love it to pieces. <3

I love your Sarah Connor feelings and how they haven't gone away and you still make vids for her, it's really wonderful. (And makes me feel better about the characters I can't get over either!) All your crossover vids are amazing, Keep The Streets Empty had a real impact on how I engage with Twilight, and Sound the Bells is perfect and beautiful. I'm still so in love with Come and Find Me, and I watch I Will Follow all the time because it's so precious.

Each of your vids feels like a wholehearted engagement with the source that pulls out really interesting insights and feelings, and I'm always delighted to see whatever fandom it is through your eyes. <333

You are so absurdly talented, it's wonderful and it inspires me. There's Starships, of course, which is a completely justified phenomenon, but there are so many others as well - Born Too Late, They Want More, Soccer Practice, Anything for You, Boy with the Bubblegun. All fantastic and things I watch all the time. Your vids are always really distinctive takes on the fandom in question and they are super great. :D

All your vids and so intricate and insightful. Hey Ho and Repetition are both incredible, and I've always loved Etheric Messages as a really beautiful tribute to Olivia.

You have such a knack for character and emotion-driven vids that are both beautiful to look at and have many layers of conmment, critique and meta, just like an onion. My faves are Low Red Moon, Riot Act and now also Hey Ho, for various reasons, explained elsewhere.

The vids of yours that I love the most all have one thing in common, they are not afraid to go for the emotional core of shows and portray it seriously yet without pathos, and thereby often elevating the source material. I say fever & the Sleepy Hollow vid are two points in case. I also love Set My World Into Motion (and I don't watch Dr Who) because it makes such brilliant use of an effect. It's not at all gimmicky (which is such a risk with effects) but adds to the argument and uses it to create connections, comments and alliterations. And it's so flawlessly executed!

Your vids make great use of black & white and whashed out footage, giving many vids a quasi-documentary type quality that works really well, particularly in SPN & Teen Wolf. My to fav vids of yours would have to be Neckz 'n Throats (though I'm still corss that it's so short) and Destroyer, which is a perfect fanfic promo.

The thing I find the most inspiring aobut your work is how you vid such a wide aray of source and ability to think outside the box. Like the psycho vid, and many of your multi-source vids. It's great to have people around who vid often overlooked material rahter than just the 'flavor of the month' TV shows.

I have 18 vids of yours on my hard drive, there are so many I love that it's hard to single any one out. Life of Leasure is my fav VM vid for sure, American Tune is up there, too, and everybody loves The Adventure. But the bestes vid has to be What About Love - it's like to delved into the deepest subconcious of my teenage-self's soul. It's the vid I watch when I need unconditional comforting with toping of unironic yet lulzy 80's feels. The vid of my heart.

You have made so many of my favorite vids. I just counted: I have 14 of them saved on my computer. "Lullaby for a Stormy Night," "Blank Space," "Glósóli," and "Suzanne" are some particular favorites.

"Level Up" overflows me with feelings in exactly the same way as a BTVS season finale and makes me cry every time I watch it.

Glósóli, Never Look Away, and Blank Space are some of my favorite DW vids. The first two are gorgeously intricate works of meta in addition to being visually beautiful, and Blank Space is just pure delight — I watched it probably ten times in a row the day I first saw it.

"Starships" is completely exhilarating. I love rewatching it on the big screen with the volume turned way up.

(I just mentioned to my girlfriend, sitting on the other end of the couch, that I was leaving a comment about "Starships." Her response: Tell her you had to take a break from typing out your love for it to listen to your girlfriend scream about that vid. I know you talk about vids making you cry, but that's the only one that's ever done it for me.)

"Summer of 69" is one of my favorites, and that song has really come to encapsulate the Pond era for me thanks to your vid.
