I am in a terrible mood, so I would like to make it better by seeing people say nice things about vids. Let's do a vidding love meme.


Instructions/Rules

1. Comment with your username, a link to your vids, and the fandoms you vid for (or a selection you've vidded the most for, if you're all over the place).
   
2. People will comment telling you what their favorite vid by you is, what show/character/pairing they think you vid best, and other positive comments. They can also mention what they think you should vid more of, or anything else concerning what they like about your vidding. If you don't want anything like suggestions for what you should vid more, just mention it in your original comment.
   
3. Post it to your journal!

I think you know how much I love your work, but just because I don't think I say it enough: "Masters of War" remains one of the most powerful viewing experiences I've ever had in all my years in fandom. ♥

I still love Boy with the Bubblegun so much! It was a joy to see it as a premiere at Wiscon the first time, but I especially enjoy how much there is to get from it on multiple watches. It manages to show so many important facets of Katniss, her determination and compassion, and how she just absolutely refuses to be anyone's pawn. Such a good vid!

I absolutely love your kink bingo vids! The first time I saw them was quite a while ago, but I still think about Satisfaction and Humping Robot probably more often than I should be. :D Also Starships is obviously amazing, and *loved* I Like The Way You Move!

Going through your vid list, I'm only just realizing that you made SO MANY of my favourite vids. Precious! Starships!! I still love Long Night's Journey into Day so, so much. I think it was the beginning of this year when I left you that comment on it and yeah, I still rewatch it several times a week. And I only just saw Boy with the Bubblegun a few months ago when I finally read THG and it is my favourite, favourite THG vid. It captures how I view that world and Katniss and her determination so perfectly. And I only just rewatched They Want More this morning, and it made me cry in bed. You make amazing memorable vids.

I honestly adore so many of your vids, including things that have quite rightly become classics, like They Want More and Starships! (which is nowadays the standard finale at any vid-watching party I attend), but I think my very favourite of your vids (and no less a classic!) is Born Too Late. I've watched it more times than I can count, and it's on my regular rotation of vids on my phone for long commutes. It just so beautifully captures those characters and the fun and warmth and magic of all of those episodes, it makes my heart so happy, and when I finish watching it I want to go right back to the beginning and start again, and often do.

I love your vids so much, they're always fantastically edited and give me lots of feels. And I love how flawlessly you can make so many different kinds of vid. Funny (They Want More ♥!, Trouble), thoughtful and powerful (Masters of War, Boy With the Bubblegun), dark and atmospheric (Everything in its Right Place, Long Day's Journey into Night) and your multifandom and kink vids are always so much fun! Starships, naturally, and most recently, Feels So Electric. Of course I love Starships because who doesn't (fun fact, one of my grad school friends linked to it on Facebook a while back and I had to contain my flailing). I only recently discovered it but I LOVE The Boy With the Bubblegum, it so perfectly captures Katniss and her quiet yet unwavering determination. But I think my favorite from you is your 4th of July, it's haunting and evocative and SO unexpected given the source. Independence Day is one of my favorite movies and I've watched it a million times and yet still would never have thought to look at it the way you did. But in retrospect the parent-child themes were just screaming to be vidded. You manage to pull at my heartstrings even with the clips of aliens blowing shit up, I'm in awe.

Omg, I don't think I had quite realised until I looked at your AO3 link just now JUST HOW MANY of my favourite vids are by you! Obviously Starships is a thing of beauty and perfection, but also I loooove al your SGA vids. SOCCER PRACTICE. JFC WHAT A GIFT THAT IS. Every now and then I remember that it exists and giggle inappropriately in public. Just. Inspired, and perfectly executed.

At the other end of the spectrum, I watched Boy with the Bubble Gun again just last night, and it's so haunting and delicate and fierce, I love it. Definitely my favourite Katniss vid.

I always love hearing about the new vids you're working on, and I don't think I've had a visceral reaction to a vid as strongly as I did to the Black Swan vid you made.

Your vids are like fresh air. They inspire me (obviously) and they occasionally humble me.

There's Starships, of course, which is a completely justified phenomenon, but there are so many others as well - Born Too Late, They Want More, Soccer Practice, Anything for You, Boy with the Bubblegun. All fantastic and things I watch all the time. Your vids are always really distinctive takes on the fandom in question and they are super great. :D

"Starships" is completely exhilarating. I love rewatching it on the big screen with the volume turned way up.

(I just mentioned to my girlfriend, sitting on the other end of the couch, that I was leaving a comment about "Starships." Her response: Tell her you had to take a break from typing out your love for it to listen to your girlfriend scream about that vid. I know you talk about vids making you cry, but that's the only one that's ever done it for me.)
