Vidding Love Meme
I am in a terrible mood, so I would like to make it better by seeing people say nice things about vids. Let's do a vidding love meme.
Instructions/Rules
Instructions/Rules
- Comment with your username, a link to your vids, and the fandoms you vid for (or a selection you've vidded the most for, if you're all over the place).
- People will comment telling you what their favorite vid by you is, what show/character/pairing they think you vid best, and other positive comments. They can also mention what they think you should vid more of, or anything else concerning what they like about your vidding. If you don't want anything like suggestions for what you should vid more, just mention it in your original comment.
- Post it to your journal!
- This is a love meme. No wank, no insults, no concrit. Just the love!

When I think of chaila I think of flawless cuts and amazing beat work and vids about amazing women.

And of course Watershed is beautiful and haunting and perfect and one of the two best comics-heavy vids I've ever seen. It's a masterclass in drawing musicality out of still images and seamlessly integrating them with video source to tell a story (partly out of necessity because there isn't enough Diana footage in the world, boo). I was late to the party in discovering it but it instantly became THE definitive Wonder Woman vid to me. ♥

"Keep the Streets Empty For Me" made an incredibly persuasive argument and I use it as an example when debating with people about whether Bella is an empowered or active character.
I am a particular fan of your movie vids. That said, I've also loved stuff you've done in Luther & Top of the Lake. Looking down your masterlist, I see a lot of vids I haven't seen and want to try!

Even when the concept is high and I don't think I'll understand it, you still are able to grab me and enchant me, like with Parable. I never read the book, but that vid is amazing to me.
Sound the Bells made me weep and there's only a handful of things in life all together that make me do that.
Seamstress has excellent lyrical interpretations. And on that note I love how fiercely you dive into one fandom and make multiple vids.
Cathedrals stands up if you ask me and is a solid first vid.
I still pull up Danse Macabre and watch it when I'm in a shitty mood because it's so lovely.
I'm so glad we're friends too.

I also often return to your vids in one off fandoms. Keep the Streets Empty For Me, Goodnight New York (which is the driving force behind why I watched Bunheads -- thank you for that!), Satan Your Kingdom Must Come Down, and Fame are all vids that I've watched and rewatched and been delighted when I've found something new. And despite my ignorance at Luther and Wonder Woman, I have never been disappointed when I've taken a look at your vids there, either.

viddershumans. I remember when you made Cathedrals and I thought you were some secret foreign BNF from some amazing hidden vidding kingdom and I remember last month when you made me a secret surprise OT3-of-forever vid. And I remember all the vids in between including most of the ones you pulled off the internet in shame because MWAHAHAHAA you were wrong they were awesome.I love and don't understand the way you vid in big, impressionistic strokes and then drill and distill down as you redraft, ending up with this beautifully crafted, effortless swirl of moments and motion. Watching you do that during Hands Away was the best.

Each of your vids feels like a wholehearted engagement with the source that pulls out really interesting insights and feelings, and I'm always delighted to see whatever fandom it is through your eyes. <333
