Vidding Love Meme

I am in a terrible mood, so I would like to make it better by seeing people say nice things about vids. Let's do a vidding love meme.


Instructions/Rules

1. Comment with your username, a link to your vids, and the fandoms you vid for (or a selection you've vidded the most for, if you're all over the place).
   
2. People will comment telling you what their favorite vid by you is, what show/character/pairing they think you vid best, and other positive comments. They can also mention what they think you should vid more of, or anything else concerning what they like about your vidding. If you don't want anything like suggestions for what you should vid more, just mention it in your original comment.
   
3. Post it to your journal!

This is such a lovely idea! IDK if people are still commenting, but if so - my masterlist is here. I have made several Doctor Who vids, and also in a whole bunch of other fandoms, often a few years after that fandom's zeitgeist :-)

I love your vidding, even when I don't know the source. There's always like three layers of meaning in your editing and clip choices, and I get so drawn in by the way you catch or connect little bits of motion or glimpses of things. They are the kind of vids I can rewatch over and over and see more in each time. I particularly love your Sleepy Hollow vids; the editing of Help! is so clever and deft, and Cold War was a big reason I tried that show. I also love Ne Me Quitte Pas and Devil's Spoke, though I've not actually watched those shows, your vids make me FEEL like I have. :)

PHOEBE, your vids have some kind of special magic about them, something that you do with motion and cutting and timing that makes you feel like you're inside the vid being swept along by it, and it's AMAZING. Ne Me Quitte Pas is always going to be one of my go-to cheer-up vids, it captures the loveliness of the show so perfectly that I'm always torn between "I need to rewatch right now" and "but the show is right HERE so there's no need". It's like a huge hug of a vid. Help! is just a masterpiece that tells its (hilarious) story so clearly and sweetly that I adore it even though I haven't watched the show. Devil's Spoke is wonderful and warm. I can't wait to see what vids you make next!

You have rapidly become one of my favourite vidders. Your stuff is so beautiful. I'm struggling to find the word I want, but your Amelie icon is apt because I think it's got a hint of whimsy (this real fluency of imagery - snatches of things from all over), but also a poignancy and real underlying emotional power.

(Or, in the case of Help, it's just flat out hilarious. There is also that, of course!)

Buddy, I am so so proud of all the amazing things that you've made since we made that vid together that time. Your vids are always really insightful - you pay so much attention to every detail, not just the big moments, which gives your vids a depth and a unique perspective. I obviously especially adore all the vids you've made for me, and I feel so lucky to have them all to hoard and clutch and love. (DON'T STOP BELIEVING, I'VE JUST SEEN A FACE, PUNCTURE REPAIR, MINE ALL MINE MY PRETTIES.)

Your first drafts blow me away, and by the time you release the final version it's something amazing that only you could make. I'm still not over just how perfect and beautiful things like Ne Me Quitte Pas, Idiotheque and Pompeii are, and I can't wait to see what you make next!

Glósóli, Never Look Away, and Blank Space are some of my favorite DW vids. The first two are gorgeously intricate works of meta in addition to being visually beautiful, and Blank Space is just pure delight — I watched it probably ten times in a row the day I first saw it.

I love how in your vids, you really capture the heart of the sources cause that's one of my favorite things :) My favorite of your vids is your Pushing Daisies vid which I absolutely LOVE and it gives me ALL THE FEELS and reminds me why I fell in love with the show in the first place. The song is so perfect for the show and you use the music so well especially with the beginning clips. And I love all the lyrics sections with the different characters and themes and everything just makes me smile so much and miss the show all the more. I thank you SO much for making Help because I don't watch Sleepy Hollow but you captured one of my favorite things from the pilot in Ichabod getting so confused by modern life in wonderful vid form and it makes me laugh so much. I am SO glad you co-made Blank Space cause it's the Doctor/Master vid I've always wanted and I love how you show all the history between them. I adore your Suddenly I See vid, so nice to see a vid for their relationship and I love the strawberry and skin intercut, I SEE U ;)
