I am in a terrible mood, so I would like to make it better by seeing people say nice things about vids. Let's do a vidding love meme.


Instructions/Rules

2. People will comment telling you what their favorite vid by you is, what show/character/pairing they think you vid best, and other positive comments. I'm still awestruck when I watch your Na Na Na vid because tbh I was not a big fan of the movie (yeah yeah I know) but I think your vid is actually better than the movie or at least I enjoy it a million times more and just get FUCK YEAH feels watching it. Such a brilliant song choice and the editing is incredible and really drives the vid along and I just want to study it to see how you achieve such greatness. Sex Yeah is another favorite of mine, I remember when I saw it during Festivids I was BLOWN AWAY by the use of imagery of the show and the narrative themes and that LAST SHOT OWWWW. The Monster is AMAZING, such a unexpected but perfect song choice and the cutting and lyric interpretation and mood you set are all superb and make me connect with the movie all over again. Shake It Off is SO cute and fun and captures the spirit of the movie in a unique way and Veins is so beautifully done, yay lesbian vampires! Basically, your vids are awesome and I love them!

I LOOOOVE your Let's Go to the Mall Clueless vid SO MUCH! The song and source match are beyond perfection and your lyric matches are so on point and make me laugh a bunch. It's just so much fun to watch and captures the spirit of the film so well. Take Me There makes me cry buckets and it's such a beautiful display of Carl and Ellie's relationship. I absolutely love the song choice and how you infuse Ellie in everything Carl does after she's gone. It has a lot of personal meaning to me so thank you for making it! Learn to Fly also gives me a LOT of feelings and I absolutely love your Pixar focus as I love their movies.

I have quite shamelessly used your Wasteland vid in my attempts to drag friends into the Grantchester fandom, and the success rate has been BRILLIANT. So, thank you for that.

Also, I once almost got kicked out of a party because I showed Final Countdown to my fellow Crosby fans, and as it turned out, the hostess was still super hurt by the US losing and did not appreciate the ~entertainment. :D

I love how all your vids have a kinetic flow to them that really brings out the power of the music and drives the vid forward. They're always so visually stunning to look at and it looks almost effortless the way you bring out so many interesting parts of the source while creating a coherent narrative. Your editing always impresses me and I admire a lot, I love to study how you cut to see how you create such seamless editing. Your Monster vid embodies this, it feels like it all flows together so well and I love all the cool ways the visuals match the music and I also love the way you use beautiful imagery and light in your Slumdog Millionaire vid. You're one of the best action vidders in the community and I particularly love how you use explosions and big moments to highlight the music in We Are (the bridge "so alone" explosion gets me excited EVERY TIME) and IMO it's one of the best TTSCC vids out there. Another favorite of mine is Girl You Like which blows me away every time I watch it with how you blend so much amazing Nicki footage together seamlessly with amazing editing while bringing out her ownership of her career and DAMN SO HOT!

I love your use of mashups such as Dance Alarm which is a masterpiece in visual style and keeps my eyes glued every second through all the amazing use of motion and your Charlie's Angels vid is so much fun and I love how you use all the action scenes as well as bringing out each character's individuality. I really love Intergalactic Friends which is one of the best Clex vids I've seen and even after seeing a ton of Smallville vids, you used the footage in such a unique ways including the comic type shots and fades at the end not to mention fun lyric interpretations (full steam!).

My two favorite vids of yours are Break Teen Spirit in Four Minutes and I Want It All and I LOVE THEM BOTH SOOOO MUCH!!! Break Teen Spirit is one of most perfect vids I've seen in the way it uses the PERFECT song choice to maximum performance and has some of the best clip/music matches I've ever seen with the guy getting into the car and the bullet going around the pig sequence that give me so much FUCK YEAH physical intense joy no matter how many times I watch the vid (which is a LOT). It's so much fun to watch and dance for with all the gorgeous and visually dynamic action scenes and I really can't put into words how much I enjoy watching it, it's one of my favorite CVV vids ever. I Want It All captures Smash SO brilliantly and makes me feel so deeply everything he wants and makes me so desperate for him to achieve that. I love how you show his joy of football and life in general while still showing his struggles and the important people who help him lift him out of it. The Coach section is SO PERFECT and his relationship with his mom is so beautifully displayed. It makes me cry so much to see him lose everything and then get it all back at the end and it just brings back all my feelings for him watching the show. And of course, you use the FNL shaky cam footage so beautifully and your editing just brings out all of his energy and dynamism of his character.

And I think you should vid whatever you want but as a fellow sports fan, I am always in favor of you vidding more sports, both fictional and real life ;)

I love how in your vids, you really capture the heart of the sources cause that's one of my favorite things :) My favorite of your vids is your Pushing Daisies vid which I absolutely LOVE and it gives me ALL THE FEELS and reminds me why I fell in love with the show in the first place. The song is so perfect for the show and you use the music so well especially with the beginning clips. And I love all the lyrics sections with the different characters and themes and everything just makes me smile so much and miss the show all the more. I thank you SO much for making Help because I don't watch Sleepy Hollow but you captured one of my favorite things from the pilot in Ichabod getting so confused by modern life in wonderful vid form and it makes me laugh so much. I am SO glad you co-made Blank Space cause it's the Doctor/Master vid I've always wanted and I love how you show all the history between them. I adore your Suddenly I See vid, so nice to see a vid for their relationship and I love the strawberry and skin intercut, I SEE U ;)

You know I ADORE all your vids and I love the energy and feels that you put into them that really helps me connect with the characters even when I don't know them. I really admire your cutting in your action vids, it feels so flow-y and fun to watch and fits together with the music so well. The bridge in Dark Horse is particularly a standout for me, the use of color and motion is stunning and I love the vid as a whole for giving me SO many feels about those two slashy boys. The Runner is also amazing at using motion and fun superhero effects while showing off Barry's cuteness and I think it's one of your best vids yet. Your Matilda vid is the vid of my HEART and it makes me cry every time as well as smile and it captures the whole movie so incredibly well and the song choice is just perfect. I LOVE your Broad City vid, it's so cute at showing the wonderful friendship and femslash (way to my heart awwww) between them and I love all the funny clips you showed with them, it really captures the show. Your One Direction vids still give me ALL THE FEELS and takes me right back to loving the OT5 and perfectly displays all the amazing boytouching between them.

I love Applause so much, it always cracks me up (the Vanderbeek bridge hahaha!) and it showcases the two characters' ridiculousness so wonderfully. Your HTTYD vid is SO cute and I'm still so in love with the motion in the bridge section that brings across the joy of flying SO well. I think your Hugo vid is so beautifully done and it always makes me cry, found family YAY. Your Magic Mike vid is a gift and I'm SO glad you were able to condense the movie into all the sexy dancing. You know I think your Merlin vid is the cutest and what my favorite parts of it are so I won't go into that ;) And the bridge for Blow for go insane is still the BEST! Dynamite is SO much fun and I love the amazing use of all the fun, dancing and ridiculous shots on the show. I'm so glad Run the World exists so I get to see all the kickass women without actually having to see the show and it's so much fun to watch with all the cool competency shots you use to show them being great at their jobs. And I'm still super super thankful you made my wonderful Modern Family vid for Festivids which is just SO cute and shows so many of my favorite scenes with them <3 In short, I love your vids SO MUCH that I couldn't choose just a few favorites for this comment (obviously lol) but even more than that, you are an amazing friend and I'm so, so grateful I have you in my life and that you're always there for me to share vidding squee and commiserate togrether during vidding woes. I'm so glad you got into this vidding community and I hope you keep making many, many amazing vids!

"Silent Fandoms" was a phenomenal undertaking, and the minivids you made for it were a sheer delight. Looking down your list and reading people's comments upthread, there are a lot of vids of yours I'd like to watch!

Your editing is some of the most unique I've ever seen in the vidding community and I admire so much how you've mastered what you do and keep innovating in the vids you make so it never gets old. I love how you push the boundaries both in your vidding and in your life and you're just so fucking cool in both aspects :) Gonna talk about some of my favorites below but there are so many I love from you that I haven't mentioned that are also worthy of praise.

Flawless is just a masterpiece, I can't even put into words how much I love it and how well it both celebrates and criticizes Disney movies while using the PERFECT song to ultimate use especially with those crucial intro, outro and bridge speech sections. The PARALLELS OMG so amazing and the little things like the guy pushing the two figures together make it so incredible on every rewatch. I'm On A Boat is one of the best CVV (and vids period), I've ever seen with so many BRILLIANT lyrical matches and the editing with all the cool juxtapositions and jump cuts really making the movie come alive and making me fall in love with it all over again. I never fail to scream out so many of the lyrics at CVV or just listening to the song because it remains in my memory so strongly. Cut Like a Buffalo is the COOKIE VID OF MY DREAMS and blows me away so much with the great song choice and how you show so many amazing aspects of her character especially her music side. The cutting is fabulous especially the buildup to her fight with Anika and Lucious choking and that last shot is so haunting and memorable. Bale Out is still the Gold Standard IMO for quickest vid editing in a way that still WORKS incredibly effectively while employing effects so well and blowing my mind with all the cuts. I could watch it a thousand times and it never gets old, I love it sooo much. Black Widow is SO incredible how you distill the whole movie with such fast, interesting cutting while still keeping it all about the two sisters and the music works so well with it and it was one of my favorites from Festivids last year.
