3:35 PM me: do you know what gives me joy? it gives me joy that the manga about the anthropomorphic penises is on the yuletide noms list.

Nestra: That's the joy of fandom.
3:41 PM me: do i want to volunteer to write it? i mean. it'd be kind of embarassing. "yeah, i wrote the talking penises story." and i wouldn't even get the cachet of weirdest story, because bdsm care bears is the perennial winner.
Nestra: Oh, I don't know about that. You might look at it as "When else will I have this opportunity?"
3:44 PM me: there is nothing to stop me from writing about talking penises at any time. anything except, you know, lack of interest and abundance of shame.
Nestra: So yuletide would be like manufactured interest.

although i am kind of into one couple in the manga. not the penises. the boys they're attached to.
wow, that is not a paragraph i thought i would ever write.

Oh, yes. I like it lots. I am just not sure if I want to ask for fanfic or just watch how the manhwa develops.

It's hard for me to see any holes where fic could slide in so far. Mind you, in lots of fandoms I don't see holes where fic could slide in, and it doesn't stop lots of other writers.
