Meme

Lifted from [livejournal.com profile] sophia_helix:

01. Do I have a distinct style of writing?
02. If so, what exactly is it that defines my style?
03. Would you say my stories follow a certain theme?
04. Is there anything you feel I ought to improve or change?
05. Does my style (if I have one) remind you of anyone else?
06. Judging from whatever writing of mine that you've seen, what do you think is/are my strength(s)?
07. What do you think are my weaknesses?

... and maybe when I get home I'll work on some of those fannish New Year's resolutions.

Read your 2005 set: general reaction, ooh, pretty, but not quite what was being asked? ^^

[no obligation whatsoever to do the meme for me in return. I wrote a lot of crack-fic this year and had to re-upload a bunch of old things... :(]

Totally unuseful commentary because I am no good at this.
01. Yes.
02. I have no ability to describe it, but it's the narrative voice/tone and a way of constructing sentences...
03. People reaching out, and sometimes connecting.
04. Ooh, pretty. =D
05. Not really, but I don't read nearly as much as I'd like to.
06. It's stylish, it's pretty, I like the imagery and the way you end a story.
07. I don't know... Most of your work (this year) are not very plot-ful stories, but that's not properly a weakness unless you were looking to write plot, which they don't look like. Vignettes, drabbles, images, banter, stuff like that.

Maybe not what was asked, but very flattering! :)

3. Huh.

You're right about 7, and the one place it really hurts is the Yuletide story, which needed an expansion and another draft or so to be as plotty as it should have been.
