Eid Fic help

Hey there.

I was wondering if anyone out there could answer a question about whether a particular Jewish legend is also shared by Islam for an Eid fic I'm working on? Perfunctory Googling hasn't helped me out, probably because the names involved are too common. If you were also willing to beta the (very short and as yet unwritten) Eid fic, that would be great, but not necessary.

I think asking someone I don't know that well (as opposed to putting out an LJ billboard) would be kind of obnoxious. ("Hi! You don't know me, but I thought I would call upon you as Representative Moslem to answer my random question about your religion!")

I think I'm covered, but I figured out an alternative story if this doesn't work.

I wouldn't be able to beta (not familiar with Eid), and I doubt I'd know the legend question off the top of my head, but I could probably find out for you from what I have here, or I could ask a friend who teaches Islam.
