Escapade 2021
I decided to go to Escapade at the last minute because they asked to show one of my vids and I have a bottomless craving for validation I really enjoy the Discord watchalong experience for vidshows. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend most of Friday and Sunday, and new-medication side effects (headache, anxiety) meant I wasn't very focused on the vidshow or at panels. nestra and I ended up running vid review; it was a last-minute thing, so I wasn't able to re-watch the vids, and was especially thrown on the mercy of the audience for commentary on vids to sources I haven't seen and/or in the second half of the review (see headache and anxiety above). I am very grateful to everyone who chimed in. I remember unusually little of what people said, including about my vid. I did very much appreciate comments by seekingferret and talitha78 at the "Transcultural Vidding" panel.
It was nice to see some familiar names and faces.
