VVC 2015
Oh, hey, I should probably mention that I'm going to VVC this year. Let's hang out!
I haven't been in much of a mood for vids this year, but I'm hoping VVC will change that. It usually does.
In the meantime, also please rec me vids for:
Agent Carter*
The 100
The Legend of Korra
Orphan Black
Penny Dreadful
and also possibly:
Community
Parks and Recreation
The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Recs for new vids about my eternal loves (Buffy/Angel, The X Files, Terminator: SCC, etc.) also welcome.
* Unless they focus on any of the white dudes except Jarvis, because I just don't care. Sorry, fans of the other white dudes! I totally support your interests. I just don't share them.

I wouldn't have started vidding if I hadn't attended VVC. But even for experienced vidders, I think the complete vid con immersion has effects that can't be replicated elsewhere. I love the vid discussions and the vidding culture we're building up at Wiscon, but being one thread of a discussion in a varied conversation isn't the same.
I would love to go to go to Vidukon some time. The timing and money haven't worked out before, but I'm hoping for next year (or 2017? not sure if it's annual now).
