1. "Medium" and "genre" are not synonyms. A medium is the material you use to create a work of art; examples of different media include but are not limited to film, prose, music, and painting. A genre is a category of different works of art defined by tradition and formal attributes. Examples of genres include mystery, romance, science fiction, and Westerns; or, from another perspective, novels, poetry, and plays; or, from another perspective, trailers, TV episodes, and music videos.
   
   
2. The plural of "medium" is "media," not "mediums."
   
   
3. Have you ever considered buying a dictionary?
   
   
4. If you can't afford a dictionary, have you ever considered checking every word of two or more syllables that you use in dictionary.reference.com? It's free and it might help with some of your vocabulary issues.

Ah, one day when I was filling in for someone at work, I was taking messages off the phone and discovered a large percentage of the population does not know the difference between gender and ethnicity, many of them not even having the foggiest notion of what ethnicity is.
