Remix anticipation

Yay remix! Yay qualifying for remix!

Since the rest of the world doesn't count BtVS and AtS as one fandom, the only fandom in which I qualify is Supernatural (6 stories >= 500 words - 1 (unofficial?) remix (?) = 5 stories = yay!). The closest I come otherwise is Angel Sanctuary, which is sure to amuse the five other people who read in the fandom.

I am bemused. That seems like an awful lot of unqualifying for the amount of time I've been in fandom. Anyway! I am excited. I haven't done remix since the first year. I may not do it this year, depending on the deadlines, because there are three stories I need to finish in the next six weeks, but I will decide when I see what the deadlines are.

Also, I really need to update my Website.

Drat. I still don't qualify in any fandoms. I was hoping to make it this year. Oh, well. Next year for sure. Even if I'd managed to rewrite and post the fics I have waiting for that, I wouldn't make it.

I generally consider BtVS/AtS as one fandom, but for the purposes of remix, I can't, because there are people who've watched Buffy but not Angel, or v.v., and if they're lumped together, and a Buffy-only writer gets a mostly-Angel writer, this ends up being a problem for me. (this has also happened with Dr Who/Torchwood and SG1/SGA.)

That was not meant as a passive-aggressive poke, but thank you for responding anyway. :) So many people *don't* treat AtS/BtVS as one fandom that I am not surprised you don't for remix purposes.

I didn't think it was, but I did want to explain why it's the way it is. Because last year I did have a problem with someone who listed SGA/SG1 as one fandom and all her stories were crossovers between them, it turned out she was assigned to someone who only knew the SGA side of the equation, and it was problematic. (This is also why crossovers are now ineligible.)
