I have just read Wild Adapter 4 and After School Nightmare 6 and there is something peculiarly satisfying about having written stories in an open canon that accurately predicted future developments, and something unpeculiarly satisfying in seeing a canon do much better than you expected with gender issues.

I mean, there's tons of stuff I got wrong or just different, but I am not focusing on that right now. I read things right! I feel vindicated.

And also, there are green grapes.

Personally, my favorite part was the shoulders. But this may be because I have already seen the green grapes in the WA art book.

Ooo! I'm now trying to guess if it was ASN or WA with the gender issues (don't tell me!). I'm guessing ASN right now, but maybe there will be a woman on WA...

Also, despite saying I would wait, I just ordered WA4 off Amazon. In my defense, I was buying a water bottle and wanted to make free shipping?

Lalalalala. Not saying!

Heh. I have a horror of open canons. I can't write unless there's at least some sort of neat stopping place, and I'm fairly certain nothing else is coming out for a while. However, I am very happy to read people who do not suffer from this neurosis. ^_^

I tend to write between the cracks of existing canon, but Yuletide regularly confounds my usual habit.
