I redid my Yuletide signups and am offering only 24 fandoms! I feel marvelously restrained. Fastidious, even. Picky.

I am trying to guess which fandom I will get, but the ways of the yuletide algorithm are mysterious (okay, except to [livejournal.com profile] astolat).*

* I did not try to game the system to get any particular fandoms. I am just guessing. I would be happy with them. I would be happy with any of my 22 other choices. I would be happy with things I didn't volunteer for but may end up pinch-hitting anyway. I am easy to please. While simultaneously being fastidious and picky. What? Like yuletide, I contain multitudes.

Since I am going to have a yuletide assignment and am already late on my Sweet Charity and Eid Fic assignments, I won't sign up for [livejournal.com profile] spn_holidays. That would be a bad idea, right? Right?

... I need support in this, guys.

This post was longer and more interesting before I got paranoid that I might have given too many hints about fandoms offered and edited it. Okay, I'm lying. It was just longer.

You shouldn't sign up (even if I want to read what you won't be writing) because you're as behind as me on fic assignments, and neither of us should sign up for something else just yet.

Be strong, Mely! Be strong!

...of course, you mention [livejournal.com profile] spn_holidays just as I am getting back into the show, but I won't be caught up enough to read anything anyway. Sigh. ;-)

...now I'm thinking that I need to redo my Yuletide signup again. I mean, I already redid it on Sunday and somehow ended up going from 27 fandoms to 30.

Or maybe I should just leave it alone in case I end up volunteering for more fandoms again rather than scaling back as I'd originally intended.

... I seem to have offered eighty-seven fandoms.

How did that *happen*?

Watching everyone sign up for Yuletide makes me wish I had a creative bone in my body. It looks like such fun.

Oh well, I'll get to read the end results, which is nothing to sneeze at.

I got down to fifty! I am so proud of myself! You are so marvelously restrained!

I poke at my Eid fic, since it's not cooperating. Also, I should do minor things like work and grad school apps and paying bills, but bah!

I'm resisting signing up. *nod* I've got Yuletide, the Eid fic in progress, a few other things, and I know the fannish wishlists are soon going to start circling. I want free time to write fic for friends and such and if I sign up for holiday exchanges, I am *SO* not going to be able to do that. I keep trying to declare a challenge/ficathon moratorium, but people keep dangling awesome ones in front of me. SO hard to resist!

Okay, you people offering in the double-digits always make me feel like mud.

I am mud! I don't care! I offered seven fandoms, and that's all!

...I'm also not doing spn_holidays, but that's mostly because I don't trust it to avoid my squicks for me. So I will be a responsible (if muddy) girl and avoid them myself.
