From my reading of the comments on mamadeb's post, Mamadeb brought up the issue of the name, which I think is where some of the initial discussion came from--at least, the kind that wasn't completely offensive. I was honestly unsure whether she objected to the fact that the mods weren't acknowledging it as a Christmas challenge, or whether the use of the name itself was a major problem. Which is no excuse at all for what's happened in the last couple of days.
