This is a wonderful story - the atmosphere is compelling, the characterizations are great (particularly Tatsumi), the Twin Star is spooky and puzzling and impossible to fathom... in short, it's all perfect.
The idea is strange, but it works amazingly well in your hands. :-)
Unfortunately, the hopelessness that comes through so strongly is very much in keeping with canon. Tatsumi seems to have given up on himself long ago, with no-one else all that invested in changing his mind. Unfortunately, it seems that he really is destined to end up alone and in the dark, unable to save those he loves and with no-one trying to save him.
(Damn it. I really wish the others weren't so exceedingly dense about Tatsumi. Really, I could just shake Tsuzuki until all of his mopey narcissistic ego-centric drama-queenish OMG!Pain shook loose. - I like Tsuzuki, I really do, but there are some aspects of him that I'm not inclined to have the slightest patience with. *g*)
Your story has also made me wonder just where poor Fuuma is, if he is dead already; will his soul be destroyed entirely, if Kamui can't save him when the end of the world comes?
/rambling. I should have gone to bed long ago and might be less than completely coherent. But I hope that it has at leats become perfectly clear that I like your story exceedingly, and will go look for other Tatsumi stories you may have written in the morning. :-)
