This is really interesting-- thank you. I put down Fringe after the third episode because 102's serial killer story horrified me so much. (The needle that broke the camel's back was the way that the killed women were SEX WORKERS, whereas the woman our heroes manage to save at the plot's climax was A REGULAR WOMAN... the assumptions packed into that piece of narrative shorthand made me really upset.) But I've been hearing good things about it recently and I may want to pick it up again.
