That was not what I expected from a fic by Mely.

I like challenges. And this was a bunch of different challenges for me.

But yeah, I didn't think it was what you wanted when you mentioned Dean/anyone not a Winchester. Thanks for trying it anyway.

It's close to rape, throughout, despite Dean's very enthusiastic participation.

Hmm. I put the "dubious consent" warning on basically for Part 4; he consents to all the rest of it, even if it's not *informed* consent, which admittedly is a big "if." I don't think of it as a rape story because, as you say, his participation is enthusiastic.

This line: Dean Winchester lives in his skin so he doesn't have to live in his head, but right now it's his skin that's the problem, that fine body that his daddy bought him. Yes, that. That exactly.

I'm glad you like it! That's one of my favorite lines as well.

I can see why a lot of people neglect Cassie -- the execution was botched -- but a lot of the time fresh grief brings up old ones, and it seemed like a handle the demon would be happy to use.

I'm glad you bought the Dean characterization; thanks again for the appreciation, despite not finding the story your kind of thing.
