I finished the draft! I am so excited! I am so bummed out! Now I think it sucks, and everything's too slow except for the parts that are too fast, and it doesn't matter because every single clip choice in the entire thing is awful anyway.

... destina said this is normal. I vaguely remember similar feelings upon finishing long stories. Hmm.

I need to mess with the AVS script because the brightest whites are too white. I should only have this problem with my laundry.

But do you know what this means? Revisions! Time to watch TV! I have already watched last night's SPN and this weekend I can catch up on Life and SCC and Pushing Daisies and possibly some things on DVD! Oh, leisure time not spent vidding and bitching about boring life stuff, I have missed you!

I have dimly noticed there has been yuletide discussion in the background. Dear flist, my earnest yuletide desire for a couple of years now has been for someone to write me fiction for a cult sci-fi movie starring Christopher Eccleston, Eddie Izzard, and Derek Jacoby. astolat has kindly put together a brief presentation illustrating the film's merits. No one is ever, ever going to write me Marc Antony/Brutus, whether based on the TV series or not. I'm still not resigned to this fact.

(Yay draft! I remember how, when making my very amateur one-and-only vid, I spent eight hours sticking clips together and when I was done I was like "this is a vid! a thing! clips that fill an entire song! whee!")(And yes, I only spent eight hours on that draft, but in my defense I was using Windows Movie Maker and at the time, only had about 14 hours of canon total to work with.) (In conclusion, once again, yay draft!)

My pitch is always Christopher Eccleston kills EVERYBODY IN THE WHOLE WORLD! Including Eddie Izzard and Sir Derek Fucking Jacobi! Strangely, this pitch is not always successful. *is puzzled* And you could hit up HUSTLE fans because Marc Warren is in it, too, and ponces about--AND he guest-starred in DW that one time! See, it's a double-play for DW fans!

And hee, I laugh with a certain wry reluctance because I have been on the same rollercoaster you describe since I finished my vid draft too. (It is currently backburnered until after the high holidays. As you might expect, I'm oddly busy at this season. *g*)
