Yuletide!

I am so excited about Yuletide. I decided I needed a print-out, so I dumped all the fandoms into a spreadsheet. I decided I didn't need a 52-page print-out, so I deleted all the fandoms I couldn't or didn't want to do. This was much more reasonable, but also gave me enough leeway that I cut a few of the more iffy fandoms. Now I need to divide them into "yes' and "maybe" and "maybe not", not to mention "request" and "write". I think I will use hi-lighters. I will be just like [livejournal.com profile] renenet!

I like [livejournal.com profile] hesychasm's meme about asking writers what happened after the end of their stories, but I looked at my stories and it ... kind of doesn't work for most of them. You can ask anyway, if you want. Although I'd rather hear what you think happened, at least for the ones that aren't already wedged into the cracks of canon.

1: Name your ten favourite titles from stories you've written (or, if you're not a writer, just name your ten favourite titles).

Bake Sale: A Mixed Media Collage
The Dark Is Light Enough
Exercises in Genre Theory
The Language of Angels
No Oceans Left
On the Way to Grandmother's House
Remembering Amnesia
Rewritten on the Body
Sleep for Grief
What Flesh Felt

You know, I can't tell if how much I like the title affects how much I like the story. Would I like some of the others better if they had better titles? Although some of the above are better titles than the stories they got slapped on, sadly.

2: If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence/paragraph/whatever from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favorite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else -- this is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).

That's not why. Her blind eyes are mirrors, and he cannot escape his reflection, tinted pink as cherry blossoms. You know how it will end. You know you'll have to kill him then, when he gives up being Enma's dog.

It's my favorite because I had to cut it. And because it references my favorite Crazy Conspiracy Massive Apocalyptic Ending Theory for this series, which alas does not work with this story.
